Amy's Pink Triathlon for the NBCF

I challenged myself for the third time by particpating in Triathlon Pink Perth on 3rd November 2013. Since the first Traithlon Pink event in 2006, over $1 million has been raised for the fight against Breast Cancer. I had previously completed the short (2011) and medium (2012) courses of the Triathlon Pink and this year I took on the long course - 300m swim, 9km cycle, 3km run.

It was a great day with over 1,100 people taking part. We had some great weather for the event and I feel good about how things went. My mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer three years ago which is why this cause is so important to me. Raising both awareness of Breast Cancer and funds to support research into the prevention and cure are vital.
